Five organizing products you won't regret buying
Apr 19, 2023
Have you ever purchased a bunch of bins or drawer units for your home that end up unused or trashed? It can be tough trying to find organizing products that work well for your space, but lucky for you, there are some go-to's I recommend starting with, and I'm going to share them with you today!
Whether you need to maximize your space, create better systems, or simply make your space look more aesthetic, these are sure to help you out. But remember... just because I'm recommending them, doesn't mean you need to go buy all of them! Think about what would be helpful to you, and always measure first. Okay, without further ado...
Mesh bags
Do you have random cords, board game pieces, or office supplies lying around? Mesh bags are perfect to store smaller items that can easily get lost, such as those I mentioned.
I recommend these ones from The Container Store. They're inexpensive and durable, and the mesh material allows for easy visibility of your items. Plus, with a range of sizes available, you should definitely be able to find exactly what you need!
Stackable bins
Stackable bins are some of the best organizing products you can use to maximize your space, and the best part is that they work in pretty much any area of the home - the pantry to store snacks, the bathroom to store toiletries, the linen closet to store rags, you name it!
My personal favorite stackable bins are these ones from The Container Store. They come in a bunch of different sizes, the compartments are totally customizable, and you can even get some with wheels for easy access to your items!
Drawer organizers
Sure, you can categorize your belongings by drawer - maybe in the kitchen you have a silverware drawer, a beer and wine drawer, a coffee and tea drawer, etc. But if the content of the drawer are rolling around, how organized is it really staying?
That's where drawer organizers come into play. These simple, clear organizers are great options for storing anything from wine openers to tea packets, keeping your drawers organized so you don't have to waste time rummaging around trying to find what you need. Bonus? They're really fun to play Tetris with, ha! You can find drawer organizers at tons of different stores from tons of different brands, but I recommend these ones from The Container Store.
Lazy Susans
When you're having trouble figuring out which organizing product you might need for a space, consider a Lazy Susan. A Lazy Susan is particularly great in a tricky corner or under a sink, as it makes it way easier to access your items. All you have to do is give it a spin!
There are a ton of different types of Lazy Susans out there - ones with dividers, ones with two tiers, clear ones, opaque ones, and so on! I love this one from OXO, which you can find at The Container Store. It comes in a smaller size as well as a larger one, and the non-slip base helps keep it in place!
Shelf risers
Want to maximize your vertical space and create more storage? Consider using shelf risers! They practically double your storage space, and they create more "homes" for your items so you can categorize to your heart's content.
Usually, shelf risers are used in kitchens, in which case I'm going to recommend this one from The Container Store. Its simple wire design is perfect for storing dishes, and it's fairly priced for the great quality. Of course, you can use shelf risers elsewhere, too! Clear, acrylic ones in the closet are never a bad option.
I hope these recommendations help you get started! Remember that finding the right organizing products for your space doesn't have to be a drag, and you don't have to spend an arm and a leg. Simple solutions can be incredibly effective - just wait and see!
